Song Story

Our Celebrate Recovery songwriting team was challenged to write a song around the theme of “clean”.  I began to search God’s Word for references to cleansing, purity, washing clean, etc. God brought me to scriptures like John 15:3, Ephesians 5:26-27, Hebrews 9:14-26, and many others. As I studied these passages, the lyrics to the verses began to flow, centering around the work of Christ on the cross. The chorus reflects our appropriate response to Christ’s sacrifice through praise, adoration, and a surrender of our own lives to “the One who makes us clean”.
